How to Apply for the UTA CARES Grant

Before applying

Completing the application

  • Applications for all types of UTA CARES Grant should be submitted using the same application form
  • There is no option to save the application form and continue later, so please be prepared to complete your application in one sitting.
  • Applicants will receive an email confirming receipt of the application from OER Department staff.

If a submitted application is incomplete, OER Department staff will contact applicants to collect any missing information, but these applications will receive the lowest review priority.

Application review

  • Members of the UTA CARES Grant review committee will review applications in the order they were received. Reviewers will evaluate applications using the grant review rubric, which will be linked on this page.
  • After considering an application, reviewers may ask applicants for clarification or more information about a project. Reviewers may also determine that a project belongs in a different grant category, and applicants may be asked to resubmit portions of the application in these cases.
  • The review committee's decisions will be communicated to applicants within two months of the application deadline.
