UTA Libraries provide support for members of the UTA community to enable participation in local, regional, and national OER conferences and events. Applicants are required to include a statement about why they are interested in attending the conference and what they hope to gain from the experience.
Applications to present on OER at disciplinary conferences will be considered; a departmental match may be required.
Below is a list of regularly hosted OER conferences that may be of interest. For additional conference announcements and calls for proposals, follow the External Events, Conferences, and Opportunities channel in the Open Educational Resources Team.
Organized annually, OE Global Conference is the main venue for Open Education practitioners, policy builders, advocates, researchers, students, and decision-makers to share practices, network, and initiate collaborations. Participants collectively discuss the latest trends, challenges, and opportunities in open education and share their perspectives on its future direction. We look forward to seeing you there!
The Open Education Conference (“OpenEd”) is an annual convening for sharing and learning about open educational resources, open pedagogy, and open education initiatives.
