UTA's Coalition for Alternative Resources in Education for Students (CARES) is a multidisciplinary group of stakeholders from across campus who are working together to raise awareness of alternatives to high-cost, commercial textbooks, such as open educational resources (OER) and other free or low-cost options. In addition to sharing information about these alternatives with our campus partners, the group is responsible for providing input and guidance on the university's open education initiatives.
