Office of Technology Management (OTM)

The Office of Technology Management (OTM) at UTA is the primary resource for patenting and intellectual property (IP) issues. OTM supports the university community in identifying, protecting, and commercializing inventions and innovations.

• Invention Disclosure: OTM assists inventors in preparing and submitting an Invention Disclosure Form (IDF), the first step in the patenting process.
• Patent Filing and Management: The office provides support throughout the patent application process, including working with patent attorneys to draft and file applications.
• Commercialization and Licensing: OTM helps inventors explore opportunities for commercialization, including licensing agreements and partnerships with industry.
