The CINAHL database is often the best place to start your search for most nursing assignments; however, when locating original nursing theories, you will need to check other databases or sources, particularly for nursing theories that may be published in books.
We recommend using our library catalog and/or Google Scholar to locate these materials. The tabs below provide information on how to search these resources.
Before you begin searching, it's important to note that while UTA Libraries has many resources for primary nursing theory sources most are available in print only. The Libraries offer document delivery services for distance and graduate students. Consider your assignment or project timelines when selecting materials housed at the Libraries. Another option is finding the same book in a local library using WorldCat.org.
