Each document received several citations allowing us to identify those papers with high levels of citation, those are considered Hot papers.
HOT PAPERS: are papers published in the last two years that receive citations quickly after publication. These papers have been cited enough times in the most recent bimonthly period to place them in the top 0.1% when compared to papers in the same field and added to the database in the same period.

It draws from the Web of Science database, compiling citation data and offering insight into high-impact research trends, influential papers, and leading scientists, institutions, and countries in science.
