Identifying Engineering Hot Papers and Research Gaps

Hot papers and Essential Science Indicador

The group or cluster of papers selected during your literature review is focused on a specific topic or problem, representing key studies that address or explore the central issues of your research.

Each document received several citations allowing us to identify those papers with high levels of citation, those are considered Hot papers.

HOT PAPERS: are papers published in the last two years that receive citations quickly after publication. These papers have been cited enough times in the most recent bimonthly period to place them in the top 0.1% when compared to papers in the same field and added to the database in the same period.

Where to identify the Hot paper?

Essential Science Indicators (ESI) is a unique tool developed by Clarivate Analytics (formerly part of Thomson Reuters) that helps researchers and institutions analyze and benchmark scientific performance across various disciplines. It draws from the Web of Science database, compiling citation data and offering insight into high-impact research trends, influential papers, and leading scientists, institutions, and countries in science.
