Community Engagement Events

A collection of lesson plans used for experiential learning pop-up events

If you are interested in interviewing a member of the Libraries' events team you will need to complete a marketing request form or contact the libraries' marketing department UTA Libraries' Marketing Forms. Once you have reached out to our marketing department please email elo_tl@uta.edu with your interview request.

We DO NOT conduct interviews during events as this takes away from the duties that facilitators need to complete and does not provide an environment to answer questions in the most effective way possible. When submitting your request to the events team please include a list of questions that you would like answered along with a deadline for the response. The questions will be shared with the most appropriate team member so that they can respond.

Please allow at least 3 business days for interview requests though more time may be needed during peak seasons.

Thank you for your interest in hosting some of our amazing pups at your next event!

The Libraries' Doggy Days event is hosted by library staff and consists of certified volunteer handlers. We do not work with an organization but have built a small network of handlers who enjoy coming to the UTA campus. If you would to have our handlers at your event please email elo_tl@uta.edu with the following information:

  • Event Date/Time -Handlers are only allowed to volunteer for a two hour period
  • Event Location - Please be mindful of alarm testing on campus if your event is outdoors and amplified noise. These are problematic for the dogs.
  • Event size and scope - How many people are expected to attend the event? How many handlers would you ideally like to have? What are the expectations for the handlers' involvement?

Once all information is received we will send a request out to our Doggy Days network to see who might be interested.
