At the University of Texas at Arlington, our open education efforts have grown from grassroots experimentation to a globally recognized model of affordability, access, and innovation.

Through Mavs Open Press and our campus-wide adoption of open and low-cost materials, UTA is not only saving students money — we're amplifying educational equity at scale.

Since 2017, UTA students have saved more than $35 million through the use of open and affordable course materials.

⭐ Over 305,000 enrollments

More than 305,000 course enrollments have benefited from low-cost or no-cost resources across thousands of sections.

⭐ Global reach

UTA-published OER have been adopted in over 30 countries and used by learners worldwide, with significant engagement across North America, South Asia, Sub-Saharan Africa, and Latin America.
