This guide assists students working on research assignments in KINE 4352 classes.
1) Select four full-text research articles. All articles must be full-text articles of original research studies. No reviews, letters to the editor, or other non-research articles will be accepted. The articles should have a format similar to IMRAD (Introduction or Background, Methods, Results, and Discussion or Conclusions). It is recommended that you search for these articles using an abstract database (e.g., PubMed website ) or advanced search engine through UTA Libraries . You will need to save the PDF file for each article and upload it to Canvas. The purpose of having you download the PDFs is to expose you to the format of research articles used for print publications.
2) Complete the literature review matrix. An example has been provided in the database to use as a reference. Enter the following data for each of the four articles: Last name of first author Publication year Article title Number of subjects Exposure(s) Disease/outcomes Population (inclusion criteria) Relevant results
