Open Education at UTA: Coalition

UTA's Coalition for Alternative Resources in Education for Students (CARES) is a multidisciplinary group of stakeholders from across campus who are working together to raise awareness of alternatives to high-cost, commercial textbooks, such as open educational resources (OER) and other free or low-cost options. In addition to sharing information about these alternatives with our campus partners, the group is responsible for providing input and guidance on the university's open education initiatives.

Stop the Sticker Shock

UTA students are asked to nominate their teachers who have adopted free or low-cost resources in their courses. Visit our Textbook Heroes page to learn more.
